' A pretty good time travel book / romance. ' This book was SO MUCH BETTER than the movie they had made from the book! ' - Lady, Couldnt put it down, in fact I walked around with it. ' One of my favorite books, a misty eyed romantic tale of timetravel to the Gilded Age to find a true love, Did it or didnt it happen, I think it did. ' One of those rare, unfortunate instances when the movie is a million times better than the book. Call me a sap, but it gets me every time. It made me really feel the emotions and the little details that the protagonist felt. ' I was not used to the writing style of the author in this book but I liked it. ' Loved the movie and decided to read the book. ' I love the book (Bid Time Return) and also the movie, in which Richard has a cameo role. The book tells the same story but in a diary format. It was made into the movie 'Somewhere in Time' but the book is a good bit different and has way more heart. ' One of my favorite books by an awesome author. Didn't like the film much, with Christopher Reeves.

Richard Matheson is great, very diverse in some ways, yet also has a distinct writing style if that makes sense. Slightly dry in the beginning but I think it was fitting. 'Overall I really liked this book, but wouldn't recommend it to everyone. Somewhere in Time won the World Fantasy Award for Best Novel and was the basis for the 1980 cult classic movie starring Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour. Through self-hypnosis, he transports himself to 1896, where he finds the soul mate he was fated to meet.
